About our Quilt Show
Ocean Waves Quilt Guild, Inc. was established exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under section 501c3 of the IRS code. For over 24 years, we have provided comfort goods and items of need to over 31 local non-profits, shelters and hospitals in Sussex County and throughout the state of Delaware. Fundraising events such as our bi-annual Quilt Show, help us to support our mission which also enables us to showcase our work.
Past shows have welcomed over 2,000 visitors who have previewed our talents and purchased from our vendors. We are thrilled to welcome “Edyta Sitar” our keynote speaker from Laundry Basket Quilts.
We wish to graciously thank all of our sponsors for their support, without it this would not be possible.

Raffle Baskets
I hope you all have been busy and keeping contented quilting while we are in this period of social distancing. Think about making a quilt to be raffled off at the show. Or if you are currently making one and have no one to give it to and want to donate it Donna and I would love to have it for the show. I myself am thinking of donating one as well. Now, which one will that be?? Jean T.
It’s time to start thinking about quilt show raffle baskets and raffle quilts already! We are planning on having 10 raffle quilts and 10 to 12 raffle baskets. We would like to encourage bees as well as individual members or groups of friends to sign up for a raffle quilt. The raffle quilts were a big draw for the guild’s raffle last quilt show and we would love to have those creative quilts all our members make. There is no size limit. We will have a sign hanging from the quilt indicating what group or individual made the quilt. You can sign up at the next guild meeting or email Jean Temme.
Following is a list of the raffle baskets that are available to sign up for. We would also like to have each basket contain a small handmade item and display it in the basket.
-
Women only basket
-
Applique/paper piecing/English paper piecing basket
-
Patchwork basket
-
Tula Pink basket
-
Baby basket
-
Baking basket
-
Boy basket
-
Girl basket
We would like to have one small handmade item in each basket.
Please contact Jean Temme or Donna Egulf to sign up for the baskets.
Raffle Quilts
We have two people/groups who have signed up to make Raffle Quilts so we need a lot more volunteers! As we have had a lot of time off to quilt we’re hoping that some of you will have a quilt you have made during the quarantine that you would like to volunteer for the raffle. Please contact Jean Temme or Donna Egulf to sign up.
