SEPTEMBER -  Machine Quilting with a Walking Foot (in person)
Instructor: Mary Reddington
Date: September 14, 2021 (Tuesday)
Time: 9am to 3pm
Location: Conley's UM Church
Fee: $40 (no kit required)
Let’s go for a walk!  Sign up for our September 14, 2021 class where students will explore Machine Quilting with the Walking Foot with teacher and fellow Guild member, Mary Reddington. Bring your sewing machine with a walking foot and learn to really put it to work!  (A Walking Foot comes with most machines but is also available for almost every brand of machine as an accessory- check with your sewing machine dealer or on-line for the walking foot for your make and model sewing machine). This class is an introduction for those who want to finish their own quilts (1) for the FUN of it, and (2) for the economy of it. Click on the quilts below to really see the quilting stitches that you can accomplish with a walking foot:
This will be a three-topics in one day class,
showing you ways to finish your quilts
1. Basic all-over straight-line patterns;
2. Angles and combinations for sashings
    and borders; and
3. Curves and cables.
If you can sew a straight line you can machine quilt with a walking foot and achieve stellar results!  The more you do – the more you will realize you can do!  You will learn how to execute the techniques and accomplish finishing your quilts. Let’s have FUN!
