Timna Tarrr, Quilter, Teacher, Color Lover, will be teaching our June class in a whole new way for our guild. Timna will offer our first on-demand Guild class entitled “Stitched Mosaics”. This class is not limited to 20 students so everyone in our guild that would like to take this class can purchase it! The class will be entirely on-line for you to take at your own pace and you will have access to the class sessions for an entire year! No excuse for not finishing this class project or turning it into a finished king size quilt!  The best part is that the class participants will be invited to meet each Tuesday in June, via a live, class members zoom meeting, to work together, share progress, and ask questions that may arise as we complete the lessons. Timna will join us for 2 of those meetings to be sure everyone can successfully complete their Stitched Mosaic project and have fun doing it!

Learn how to make a pictorial quilt, by focusing on one small square at a time. If you have ever seen Timna's animal quilts and wondered, "How did she do that?", this workshop will give you the basic technical skills to create your own Stitched Mosaics quilt. Through videos, text, and photos Timna demonstrates her process using the flower above.

What You Will Learn in this class:

  • Choosing a photo to work from

  • Breaking down a project into manageable bite-sized pieces

  • Using freezer paper to create custom templates

  • Basic machine applique
