Mission
To organize and lead the creation of patriotic quilts that are donated through the Quilts of Valor Foundation. The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor. Patriotic Quilts is an OWQG only group. Our guild members contribute their time, skills, and materials to create these meaningful quilts in appreciation of those who have served our country.
Activities
Our guild donated another 6 patriotic quilts this month. Several of these will be awarded during Operations Seas the Day in Bethany Beach this September. This event honors wounded veterans with a week-long beach vacation for them and their families. Some of our quilts will be awarded to Air Force Mortuary Affairs personnel and honor guards who conduct dignified transfers at Dover Air Force Base. Thank you for using your talents in support of our veterans!
