ANGEL GOWNS

Mission

Guild members sew infant burial gowns (Angel Gowns) from donated wedding dresses. These gowns provide comfort and dignity to grieving families during an incredibly difficult time. Approximately 50 gowns are needed each year and are distributed through ChristianaCare and Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware. The project coordinator is Dr. Shelley Hopkins.

Please consider sewing one (or more) of these gowns from a simple two-piece pattern (see below). Any white fabric is suitable, and you may add trimmings as you wish.

Activities

Received thank-you notes from Beebe Hospital and Project Sweet Peas for our recent donation of infant burial gowns. This was the first donation to Beebe.
